My Story

My journey into jewellery began unexpectedly after I tore my Achilles tendon and found myself in a medical boot for four months. As an active person, it was tough not being able to hike, swim, or cycle. While my family and friends enjoyed the sea, I turned my focus to the beach, collecting shells and sea glass. These natural treasures soon inspired me, and I began creating simple jewellery pieces for my loved ones.

Over time, I refined my skills and discovered a true passion for the entire process—from sketching designs on paper to crafting initial pieces in silver clay. I work closely with talented silversmiths who bring my ideas to life.

As a mother of six nearly grown children and the wife of an RAF serviceman, life is full, yet Cornwall’s rugged coastline remains my constant source of inspiration. Currently based in the Cotswolds, we eagerly await our return to Cornwall, where my heart and creative spirit truly belong.

Gemstone Jewellery

My gemstone jewellery collection features bracelets adorned with Grade A and above gemstones, paired with your choice of a sterling silver or 24K gold vermeil SEA TREE bead and charm. Each bracelet is strung on durable 1mm stretch cord, making them more robust than many typical gemstone stretch bracelets. These pieces are designed to keep you mindful throughout the day—each bracelet serves as a gentle reminder to stay calm, balanced, and present, fostering a deeper connection with both yourself and the world around you.

The collection also includes delicate gemstone necklaces and earrings, featuring tiny, tumbled gemstone charms on sterling silver chains or hoops. Whether for yourself or a loved one, this collection is a beautiful symbol of a mindful life, making it the perfect gift.

St. Atelier Collection

"I have been eager to create a distinctive collection apart from my main gemstone jewellery line for some time. My goal is to present you with unique, sustainable pieces that are impeccably handcrafted, making this collection both beautiful and contemporary.”

The Sea Tree Atelier Collection showcases sea glass and pearl jewellery as well as sterling silver and 24k gold vermeil design. Taking my inspiration from the Cornish coastline and the Cotswold countryside, newly designed pieces will be landing next year.

Gemstones - I have built up a team of reputable and eco-conscious suppliers here in the UK over the years. My gemstones are sourced from a dedicated family run business. They have specialised in gemstones for the past 25 years and they are a IGS pro member and Pearl Specialist of the International Gem Society.

Sterling Silver - My jewellery is made from 100% recycled sterling silver wherever possible.

24K Gold Vermeil - A thick layer of gold (2 microns) coated over sterling silver.

Silversmithing - I support a family in a small village in Bali. I plan and draw my designs, a wax design or silver clay piece then emerges from my work which is cast into sterling silver expertly and ethically by this family of silversmiths. The process is slow and purposeful. Discussions, planning, kindness and laughter are exchanged as your jewellery emerges full of good vibes! Ethical practices are important to me and by working with this family, I am able to support mostly female artisans who can silversmith from their homes, allowing family duties and work to co-exist comfortably. I feel so privileged to work with this small team. I found this family by chance, by luck, or dogged determination, looking for leads through contacts I had built up over a long time. I am never sure exactly what led me to them but I am so happy as they are now an integral part of the The Sea Tree Co.

Hallmarking

UK law requires any sterling silver product over 7.78 grams in weight to be hallmarked by one of the UK independent Assay Offices. All my pieces are under this weight and are therefore not hallmarked; this helps keep costs lower. I do, however, stamp 925 on some of my charms and chains.
